One of the things Curaçao is best known for is its beaches. Enjoy sinking your toes into soft sand or warm, clear waters. Or swim into deeper waters to see the unique wildlife underneath you. You can also climb some of the trees to get an overhead view of the island. Get a nice view of the sunrise or the sunset while you're here because you won't want to miss the view.

Snorkeling and scuba diving
Scuba diving or snorkeling in Curaçao is a real treat because of the gorgeous waters, amazing marine life and easy access to the water from our vacation rentals. Some of the best spots to scuba dive are:
Watamula - variety of marine life and lots of sea turtles
Tugboat - Sunken tugboat, ideal for beginners
Mushroom forest - Coral structures that look like mushrooms
Eel valley - Eels hiding in crevices, golf balls from the nearby golf course
Smokeys - isolated, so you may see sharks and sting rays

The nicest beaches we visited during our two week cruise!
We arrived early and so had our pick of sun loungers. My children loved playing in the water. There were lots of fish for snorkeling too!
There was also a small play park area on the beach which they loved.
There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants along the beach here.

This was a great beach . Snorkelling was great the people were all so friendly ! The shops and restaurants were wonderful. This was our best stop the whole cruise !! The people we paid for the chairs were not rude as was the case at almost all the other beaches. Highly recommend !

Fishing
You can catch all sorts of fish here, such as marlin, tuna, skipjack tuna, mahi mahi and yellowfin. Hop on a boat and head over to the ideal fishing spots in the area to get a big one. A popular spot to go is Klein Curaçao. Make sure you have a fishing license, though!
Sun tanning
Get your tan on while visiting the island because the sun is always out here. Enjoy the heat with your friends, but make sure to put on sunscreen so you don't go home sunburnt.
