Our villas have been around since the 1600s, but they weren't villas back then. They were farms for growing sugarcane and tobacco. After multiple battles between the Dutch and Spanish, our villas became part of the autonomous Curaçao that is in place today. They've been transformed and remodeled from the farm homes in the past to our current villas with modern amenities.
You can learn more about the history of our villas and the rest of the island as you explore and visit the area.
Located in the Caribbean Sea, Curaçao is a Dutch island known for having brightly colored houses and exquisite beaches. Despite the island's desert atmosphere, the island is great for growing oranges and sugarcane, along with brewing liquor.
Tourism is a big part of the economy here. The island has 130,000 residents, and many of these residents speak four different languages: Papiamentu, Dutch, Spanish and English. So no need to worry about learning a new language before coming here; additionally, U.S. currency is accepted here.
